The history of DAVINCI Eye Clinic started in April 2015 when it was formally founded by Dr. Nikoloz Labauri, an ophthalmologist and a surgeon, with the support of foreign funds as well as private foreign investors. The enthusiasm of DAVINCI medical and scientific team is fueled by a very ambitious vision to establish, in near future, the "Georgian National Eye Institute” as a center of therapeutic and research excellence gaining world-wide reputation. We are dedicated to design a state-of-the-art facility to build on proven traditional therapeutic methods, particularly in the field of ophthalmology, implement new advanced therapies and techniques, and, grounded in our own research as well as scientific collaborations, introduce new treatments to fulfill our mission: To keep improving standards of care, overall patients’ experience and quality of life. In 2016, DAVINCI Eye Clinic was furnished with the latest generation of high-tech equipment and, under the leadership of its experienced scientific team, modern diagnostic and treatment methods were implemented. DAVINCI medical scientific team is engaged in activities on both national and international levels participating in conferences, congresses, scientific seminars and continuing medical education programs worldwide.  We established the tradition of annual international conferences for local and foreign specialists to attend the so called "Live Surgeries” broadcasted simultaneously in Tbilisi, Georgia, as well as selected conference halls abroad. Our aim is to share experience and best practices, thus, advancing science in the international ophthalmological community.DAVINCI funds a group of scientists whose papers and manuscripts are published annually in international journals of ophthalmology with impact. DAVINCI takes pride in having its leading surgeons the first specialists internationally recognized and licensed in the field of traumatic iris full reconstruction and prosthetic surgery.We diagnose and successfully treat all types of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, cataract phacoemulsification with premium IOL implantation resolving simultaneously problems of nearsightedness and farsightedness in both elderly and younger patients, as well as perform unique reconstructive surgeries for eye trauma, corneal transplantations, all types of refractive surgeries for myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism; modern laser corrections allow our patients to get rid of glasses and contact lenses. Within a year, we performed more than 2500 surgical and laser treatments of various eye diseases, after which almost all our patients returned to their daily lives with improved quality of vision. Our achievements result from the implementation of modern therapeutic and surgical methods as well as the dedication of our staff. For us, every patient is unique, therefore, all treatment phases are personalized and tailored to fit the patient as an individual.
